QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Q. Is Sixordle free to play?

Yes. Sixordle has always been free, with no account required and no paywalled puzzles. The site is supported entirely by small reader donations rather than a subscription.

Q. How is Sixordle different from other word-guessing games?

Most games in this genre give you one hidden word per day. Sixordle gives you six hidden words at once, all checked against the same pool of guesses. The core rules — green for right letter and position, yellow for right letter and wrong position — stay the same; what changes is that you're managing six boards' worth of information simultaneously instead of one.

Q. Do I need an account to play?

No. Guessoword games are built to be accessible from a link with no sign-up. Progress on the current puzzle is kept in your browser session.

Q. How often does a new Sixordle puzzle come out?

There's a new puzzle daily. Each one uses a fresh set of six five-letter words, so solutions and starter-word effectiveness can vary day to day.

Q. Why does my guess sometimes get rejected?

Every guess has to be a valid five-letter word in the game's dictionary. If a guess is rejected, it's usually because it isn't recognized as a standard English word — proper nouns, abbreviations, and most plurals formed just by adding "s" to a non-dictionary root won't be accepted.

Q. Is there a limit to how many guesses I get?

Yes — the puzzle gives you a fixed, shared number of guesses to solve all six boards, deliberately tight enough that random guessing won't get you through it, but generous enough to reward careful play. See the How to Play guide for the full mechanics.

Q. Can I play on mobile?

Yes. Sixordle is built to work in any modern mobile browser without installing an app — no App Store or Play Store listing is needed.

Q. Does Guessoword collect my personal data?

Guessoword doesn't require any personal information to play. Full detail on what's collected and why is in the Privacy Policy.

Q. Who makes Guessoword?

Guessoword is an independent, small studio project that started in February 2022, without outside investors. You can read more on the About page.

Q. I found a bug or have feedback — who do I contact?

Reach out any time at [email protected]. Small independent projects like this one rely on players flagging issues directly.
