Subscription & Payment Policy

1. What This Policy Covers

This Payment Policy governs Sixordle Premium and any other paid subscription, feature, or purchase available on guessoword.com or its subdomains (together, "Paid Features"). It supplements our Terms of Service. By starting a subscription or making a purchase, you confirm that you've read, understood, and agree to this policy in full, in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. What Sixordle Premium Includes

Sixordle Premium is priced at $3.99 USD per month or $39.99 USD per year (billed upfront for the period selected). Its core benefit is an ad-free experience as described in Section 7. Core gameplay — puzzles, mechanics, statistics, and features available to free players — is otherwise the same for Premium and non-Premium players. Subscribing does not entitle you to new gameplay features, difficulty changes, or any other modification to the game beyond the ad experience described in this policy, unless we choose to add further perks at our discretion. We may introduce additional Premium benefits over time, but none beyond what's described here are guaranteed as part of your subscription.

3. Billing & Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, matching your original selection) until you cancel. You'll be charged using the payment method on file at the start of each new period. We may change subscription pricing at any time; where required by law, we'll give you advance notice before a price change applies to your next renewal. Continuing your subscription after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price.

4. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not collect, see, or store your full card number or other sensitive payment details — that information is handled entirely by Stripe under its own security standards. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's own Services Agreement and Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com. We are not responsible for Stripe's acts, omissions, downtime, or policies.

5. Cancellations

You may cancel Sixordle Premium at any time. It is your responsibility to cancel if you no longer want the subscription — we don't send reminders before renewal, and a subscription left active will continue to renew and be charged automatically. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not end your current paid period early: you'll keep Premium access through the end of the period you've already paid for, with no partial-period refund or credit. Instructions for cancelling are available in your account settings or by contacting us via the details on our About page.

6. Refund Policy

All subscription charges are final and non-refundable, including for partial periods, unused time, accidental renewals you didn't cancel in time, or simple change of mind. We don't offer prorated refunds for early cancellation. The only exception is where a refund is required by applicable law in your jurisdiction — in that case, and only that case, the legally required remedy applies. If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge), contact us promptly and we'll look into it.

7. The Ad Experience — What "Ad-Free" Means

We want to be precise here, since this is the core value of Premium:

• Guaranteed: as a Premium subscriber, you will not be served popunder or social bar advertisements from our advertising partner, Adsterra. This guarantee is absolute and applies for as long as your subscription is active.
• Occasional homepage tests: from time to time, and only during limited test phases, a minor, non-intrusive ad may still appear on the Guessoword homepage (not within gameplay itself). These test-phase ads are capped at a maximum frequency of once per week, and in practice most subscribers should expect to see zero ads at all during a given period. Gameplay itself is never interrupted, delayed, or distracted by advertising for Premium subscribers.
• We reserve the right to run these limited, capped tests to help fund and improve Sixordle, without affecting your popunder/social-bar guarantee above.

8. No Guarantee of Gameplay or Feature Changes

Subscribing to Premium does not guarantee that the game will be "better," different, or expanded beyond the ad experience described above. We may improve, change, or leave gameplay as-is at our discretion, for both free and Premium players alike. Premium is, first and foremost, an ad-experience subscription.

9. Our Climate Contribution

Once cumulative Guessoword subscription revenue (not advertising revenue) crosses $10,000 USD, we direct 1% of subscription revenue toward carbon reduction efforts, facilitated through Stripe Climate and its partner organizations. A few important notes on this commitment:

• This is a voluntary contribution, not a term of your individual subscription contract, and doesn't entitle any individual subscriber to any specific outcome, credit, or offset.
• We're committed to this program for the 2026 calendar year. We hope to continue it beyond that, but continuation isn't guaranteed indefinitely and may be adjusted or discontinued in future years at our discretion.
• Advertising revenue is explicitly excluded from this commitment — only subscription revenue counts toward the 1% figure.
• The mechanics of how contributed funds are used, verified, or allocated are determined by Stripe Climate and its partner organizations, not by us directly. For details on how contributions are used, please refer to Stripe Climate's own public disclosures.

10. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you have a billing concern, please contact us before filing a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer — most issues can be resolved quickly and directly. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Paid Features for accounts associated with fraudulent, abusive, or repeated unwarranted chargebacks, and to contest such chargebacks through Stripe.

11. Eligibility

To subscribe, you must be able to enter into a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction and hold a valid payment method in your own name (or with explicit authorization to use it). If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must complete the subscription on your behalf and agrees to this policy in doing so.

12. Taxes

Listed prices may not include applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar charges. Where required, such taxes are calculated and collected at checkout by Stripe based on your billing location.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Payment Policy, including pricing, features, or the terms of our climate contribution, at any time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated revision date, and where required by law, communicated to active subscribers in advance. Continued use of Paid Features after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Guessoword's total liability arising from or related to your subscription or any Paid Feature is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your subscription, billing, or use of Paid Features.

15. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles, consistent with our Terms of Service.
